Cycling Amsterdam to Bruges

Our family of 4 (2 daughters ages 17 and 19) took this great tour through the Netherlands in July 2024. It was a wonderful experience and I recommend the tour. Highlights included exploring beautiful small towns, feel accomplished by getting there on our bikes and enjoying the food and atmosphere every evening, while talk about our day!
We are casual bikers at home, this tour pushed us in terms of our navigation skills and the muscles involved with riding a bike for hours a day. The weather was at times challenging with rain and wind. But overall, the e-bikes were great, the overall tour was well paced for us and we felt accomplished each day!. I would recommend bringing your own tools to be able to fix issues with the bike along the way. We didn’t have the right tools to fix a flat and we were lucky to be close enough to a bike shop to be able to get there and have them fix it. Also, I would recommend downloading the local maps into a Garmin or mobile device for navigation. The navigation at times was tricky!

The hotels the tour booked were all comfortable and breakfasts were all very nice. In each location, we found wonderful restaurants for dinner. And along the route, we found great places for lunch as well.

Thank you for a great experience!

The Kerry Way

This was just the vacation I had hoped it would be. Not only was the hike stunning but the ease of the trip made it a true vacation. It was my 40th birthday present to myself to hike the Kerry Way and having Wild Rover take care of all of the details and take away any stress was a true gift. The accommodations were very well chosen, charming buildings, sweet hosts and big breakfasts to start the day. They were even able to cater to a gluten free diet. Showing up to my luggage each night, especially after any wet days was always a good feeling. I have done many large backpack hikes in the past and it takes such a huge toll on my body, not to mention it affects the pleasure of the hike. The GPS maps for the phone and other print outs that were waiting for me at the first accomodation were very helpful. For someone from Canada, the ease of European travel and having a company take care of the logistics is such a treat. I’m already looking up my next long hike!
